History

In Arzignano, Maurizio Colombara and his wife Rosamaria Colombara, a computer science graduate, founded C.R.M. Informatica.

The name C.R.M. has reflected the company’s identity from the very beginning: the C stands for the surname Colombara, the R for Rosamaria and the M for Maurizio, symbolising a venture built on complementary skills and a shared vision.

Since its early years, C.R.M. Informatica has supported businesses not only in application development, but also in consultancy and the supply of hardware and IT infrastructure, helping companies to equip themselves with increasingly robust, up-to-date and reliable technologies: from the first local network systems and servers to modern, advanced architectures, which are essential for supporting business growth and the organisation of business processes.

In 1990, the first version of Winfly® was launched – management software designed to support businesses in managing their operational and organisational processes.

From the very beginning, the name has encapsulated the project’s identity: WIN, a nod to the early Windows systems on which it was developed, and FLY, a symbol of momentum and vision, as well as a reference to the surname Colombara, evoking the idea of growth, innovation and the flight of doves.

The first release was developed in Visual FoxPro, laying the foundations for a flexible, robust system designed to optimise business processes.

At the same time, C.R.M. combines the development of management software with the implementation of technological infrastructure, networks, systems and business continuity solutions, adopting an integrated, practical approach that is tailored to the actual needs of businesses.

At the same time, Winfly Leather was launched – a range specifically designed for the tanning industry, tailored to meet the specific needs of this highly specialised sector.

As the market and business needs have evolved, Winfly® has embarked on a major technological transformation: the management system is being progressively rewritten in JavaScript, giving rise to the first industry-specific modules, particularly for the tanning sector, a key industry in the region.

At this stage, Stefania Colombara, a graduate in Computer Science from the University of Milan, also joined the team, making a significant contribution to the technical and structural development of the ERP system.

At the same time, there is a growing focus on increasingly robust and secure infrastructure: high-performance servers, secure corporate networks and modern technological environments, designed to ensure stability, data security and business continuity.

Since 2020, Winfly® has evolved into a fully web-based ERP platform, designed to ensure accessibility, scalability and integration with modern web applications.

Today, Winfly® is a bespoke ERP system, adopted by numerous Italian companies and available in versions tailored to key sectors such as the tanning, chemical, mechanical engineering, marble, fashion and car-sharing industries.

At the same time, CRM Informatica is strengthening its systems engineering department, with a growing focus on cybersecurity, data protection, regulatory compliance and the attainment of industry-specific technical certifications.

In 2024, C.R.M. Informatica will celebrate < 1 >35 years in business, reaffirming its commitment to developing bespoke digital solutions and providing < 3 >software, hardware and infrastructure consultancy services designed to guide and support businesses on their growth journeys.
